Spanish apps for preschoolers: what each one offers
Apps that offer Spanish to preschoolers work in very different ways: some are full preschool apps with a Spanish option, others offer Spanish stories or songs. Here are five, with facts from their US App Store listings, and the questions to ask before you choose.

Something to try
How this comparison was made
Every fact about another app comes from its own US App Store listing, read on November 5, 2026: the ages it states, how it offers Spanish, the languages the listing names and how it charges. We do not rate or rank other apps. Listings change, so check the store before you decide. Ziippi is our app.
Section 01
Questions to ask first
Who is the Spanish for? If your child already understands Spanish, look for spoken instructions in Spanish. If nobody at home speaks it, check how the app explains activities to a child who does not. Does it cover preschool skills or mainly words and songs? Can each child have their own language? Are there ads, and how does it charge?

Section 06
Ziippi
Our app.

In English, your child practices numbers, letters, colors and shapes, tracing and feelings, and in Speak learns first words in Spanish. In a profile set to Spanish, the spoken instructions are in Spanish and are not translated.
Ads: none.
Charging: subscription through the App Store or Google Play, which shows the price before you accept.
Frequently asked questions
Which of these apps is free?
Khan Academy Kids says in its listing that it is 100% free; its Spanish is in read-aloud storybooks. The others charge a subscription, and ABCmouse also lists a free daily selection.
Why are there no prices here?
Prices change by country and by offer. Each store shows the current price before you subscribe.
What language are Ziippi’s instructions in?
The language you choose for each child: Spanish or English. In a profile set to Spanish, instructions are not translated, so a child who does not understand Spanish yet will need an adult who does.
How does the subscription work?
It is bought through the App Store or Google Play. Eligible accounts get a trial when they confirm in the store; then the plan is charged and renews automatically unless you cancel in the store before the renewal date.
